We came into each others' lives at just the right time. From our very first date --a romantic omakase in Denver--we were both struck with immediate and powerful attraction. But what developed unexpectedly was the start of a deep connection that would ultimately unveil not just strong chemistry, but a true compatibility.

While eating on that fateful evening, we found ourselves skipping small talk and diving right into deeper conversations about who the other person was and what they wanted in life. This led to the discovery of a game we call "the questions game." In this, you rotate through a deck of cards with questions on them that range from playful ("What song or band defined your teenage years?") to introspective ("Who is someone in your life that shaped the person you are today") to developmental ("How can we help each other achieve our goals in life?"). The question game became the foundation of our budding relationship and, perhaps, played a key role in how our love grew so deep, so quickly.

Cherie brought a warmth and energy to Tyler that he craved. Her sociability and gusto for living provided powerful impetus for making the most out of their time together. Her natural affection and desire to improve herself and others around her remain some of the qualities Tyler most appreciates. Above all, he quickly found himself appreciating her depth: an impressive blend of cleverness, street smarts, & strong will...all packaged with a bubbly disposition and a beautiful wrapper!

For his part, Cherie found in Tyler a genuine kindness and depth of caring that made her feel completely loved, appreciated, and supported. From the very beginning, she was charmed -- truly swept off her feet, a phrase often overused but entirely fitting here. Tyler was more than a handsome and successful gentleman; he was thoughtful, intelligent, effortlessly funny, and profoundly compassionate toward everyone around him. He embodies a rare and beautiful combination of qualities, and Cherie feels endlessly grateful to have found them all in one person.

It didn't take long for us to realize that we had found our perfect match. In June 2024, Tyler proposed in an unexpected fashion (but very true to who he is) by way of a party game he created. Friends joined in on a version of Charades-meets-Jeopardy that ended in Tyler asking Cherie to marry him. She joyfully said "Yes!"
